Why are some babies born with a heart problem?
In the vast majority of cases we don’t know why a baby is born with a heart problem. There is a lot of research going on at the moment to try and find a reason. However we do know that there are some situations where the risks are increased e.g.
May be linked to drugs/alcohol
Some heart disease has a genetic cause
